And will it replace writers?
Hey friends π
This post below was written by an AI writing tool named Lex.

I just wrote the title and gave the first line as the input. Not a single word after that was written by me.

π€― It's just mind-blowing how these AI tools have gotten better. And to the question, will writers become irrelevant? My answer is no. Yes, these AI tools have gotten so much better that they can easily replace people who are not great at their craft. These tools can easily crush the 90% of the substandard articles that are floating around on the internet but they cannot replace the great ones, yet. I see these tools as a 'tool' to write better & not as a writer in itself. They will make the writing process much more efficient.
Once these tools become more mainstream, it becomes very easy to create content that is not personal. When things become so easy, the value of the content is lost. So I also believe that personal content will be the only way to cut through the chaos & gain the attention of the people.
PS: I have a couple of invites left for this tool: Lex. Reply to this email if you want an invite :)

π Podcast: Palmer Luckey on My First Million
Palmer Luckey is one of the most interesting people that I have come across in recent times. His ability to generate ideas & act upon them is astonishing. My key takeaway from this podcast was the importance of incentives. In this podcast, he talks about a bunch of ideas that he wanted to do before starting his current company Anduril. All the ideas were based on systems where the incentives were broken & how technology can help resolve that. I'm going to dive deeper into this guy's work this week!
π Podcast: Balaji Srinivasan on Lex Fridman podcast
I guess I donβt have to say much about this podcast. It's a fucking 8 hr long podcast where they jam everything from blockchain, to media, to war. I'm sure there are ideas in this podcast that will influence you or at least question the way you think about a few concepts in life.
π Standup show: Alexperience
I love Alex & his previous show - Alex in wonderland. He has a unique style & I consider him a great performer. Alexperience was his second musical comedy show. I LOVED many set pieces & obviously enjoyed his performance throughout the show. It's always beautiful to see people who cherish even the smallest of things in life & Alex is one of them. This show will push you to recognise those small little moments in life that make you smile.
My only complaint was that the show went on for 3 hrs. I was detached for the last 45 mins & I wish it was a well-packed performance. But this show definitely a super ambitious attempt, definitely check it out if you love Alex.
π Run
I completed my 5-week streak of running (and this newsletter) π₯³ I'm slowly improving my pace & my distance to keep running sustainably. Let's see where it goes π
5 weeks running streak, 112 km in total and I did my first 5k under 30 mins today π₯³
